Tara-Jane Fowler
Tara has been dancing since the age of three and joined Danceworks at the age of fourteen. Progressing through her exams with excellent results in all dance styles she auditioned successfully in 2005 with the British Ballet Organization (BBO) for the Senior Jazz Scholarship. Since then she has been receiving regular professional training with dancers and teachers from both the Ballet and Musical Theatre worlds at BBO headquarters, London. This has proved to be an extremely valuable and enjoyable experience.
She began as a Teaching Assistant at Danceworks at the age of sixteen and two years later progressed into teaching several classes in Ballet, Modern, Tap and Street Dance teaching students of all ages. Having made an active decision to teach full time Tara then successfully auditioned in 2006 at the age of eighteen to be accepted onto a three year Teacher Training programme with the British Ballet Organization.
Over the past three years her teaching has expanded further into both private tuition and Audition Preparation for students whilst also teaching dance workshops within primary schools and nursery schools for Danceworks within the County. She is also solely responsible for all classes pre-school and upwards taught at Danceworks Charlton Kings where the school continues to grow and flourish.
Tara is a versatile teacher who brings her positive and enthusiastic manner into class and with her experience of competitive work and knowledge of the stage through numerous stage shows she proves to be a popular teacher with students and a valuable member of staff at Danceworks. She is now very much looking forward to teaching at the new branch school Danceworks Bishops Cleeve from 28th February 2009.
